HOW IT WORKS
Scrubbit assists in filtering out the high volume of
junk mail, or SPAM, from your mailbox by screening each message as
it arrives. Scrubbit is a "server-based"
mail filtering system, as opposed to a program that runs on your computer.
This means that the mail is screened before it
is placed in your mailbox, thereby avoiding the time to download the
unwanted messages. Mail is filtered according to a set of rules
that you specify using the Scrubbit configuration menu.
Scrubbit is a subscription-based service which is enabled
on a per-mailbox basis. Each mailbox has an associated database
of "friends", "bad-guys", and filtering rules that help determine what is
worth placing directly in the mailbox.
To start using Scrubbit, request that SPAM filtering be added to your
mailbox (using the "SUBSCRIBE" menu option), then login using the scrubbit login screen. This is provided
on your home page, and you can save it as one of your "favorites".
